The initial visit is an assessment and consultation session with the child and parent/guardian. It includes an informal assessment of fine motor, play, self-care, feeding, and/or sensory processing skills. Formal testing and reports are available for additional fees.
Following the initial assessment, families may request a more in-depth sensory processing assessment. A standardized assessment of sensory processing skills, the Sensory Processing Measure, is utilized to help determine areas of difficulty at home and school. Based on information gathered from the clinic visit, interviews with school staff, and analysis of the SPM, families are provided with an Assessment Summary & Recommendations Report.
